What is the general thoughts on the best DR now. I have a set of C5 17inch wagon wheels and a set of C6 18 inch off the ft that I can use. What would you all suggest. A6, approx 500 corrected RWHP, 2800 stall, 315 Gears. Thanks Paul

They're both 8.5" wide so the choice is yours (well as much choice as there can be with almost ALL drag radials that fit either rim currently on backorder LOL) as to which one you choose.
On the 18s you can go with a 275-35-18 (the 295s being a little too wide for that rim in my opinion) BFG drag radial or the Mickey Thompson 265-40-18 (BFG used to make that size as well but it's been discontinued I heard) and on the 17s you would go with the Mickey Thompson 275-40-17 (that's the set up I have).
None of these are an idea set up but with a good burnout they should still work.
I have 17" C5 Front Wagon Wheels with the 275/40-17 Nitto drag radials. They fit fine over the Z51 brakes on the rear. They give me a shorter tire which helps my overall gear ratio. Plus, they are very light as compared to the stock runflats. I'm running a stock converter with my A6, so the Nittos are fine. But if I were you I'd run the BFG's or MT drag radials in the same size (275/40-17's).
OK, I ordered a set from discount tire off ebay, 2- 275/35-18 BFGoodrich Drag Radial Tires Heat Cylced! for $464.00 total including shipping (free) and taxes. Thanks Paul
