Default Ported Throttle Body

What are the advantages/disadvantages of porting your throttle body? Does this effect the warranty on our cars? This seems like a cheap mod but seems to gain decent HP, is this true?

Thanks
Shane

Porting the throttle body on the LS2 is worth only a few horespower,
however the throttle response is increased dramaticaly. The car will drive better with the removal of the hesitation at the tap of the pedal.
Dont see any downside.

where is a good place to order a ported throttle body? Do they make a larger throttle body for the LS2? I will eventually add the fast intake.

The standard throttle body PORTED is more than sufficient. Depending on your mods no more than 10 hp.
It is designed to be used with a ported intake manifold headers vararam snake charmer or similar set up.
Ill sum it up in one word WICKED!
Fast 92 and ported T.B. 27 HP 27 TQ.
This is my set up so I know. Good luck with what ever you decide.

The LS2 & the Z06 use the same throttle body. So there is probably enough air getting thru, up to a certain level of HP.

Is the porting of the LS2 manifold a relatively easy process? My question is: Would there be noticable difference in the porting of one shop to another. I am thinking about getting my LS2 man. ported but i am located in Texas and cannot take the manifold of the car because it is my daily driver. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Also, how much does the average ported TB add HP wise? Thanks!

I can provide a core exchange for you to prevent downtime on your car. I would send you out the ported parts for you to have swapped there. You would send your stock pieces back to me for a full core fee refund.

Obviously, each shop will think theirs is the best... but not many intake porters supply other shops... I do.

You can expect to gain between 10-15 rwhp and torque depending on accompanying mods and tuning.
