Default Removing computer programs

Tech Wizards,
Just wondered if tire pressure monitor, traction control, and active handling can be removed or edited from the computer?

Would be nice. For wet autocrossing I would really like to disable active handling but keep traction control. Unfortunately, the factory settings let you disable traction control or disable TC/AH but not disable AH only.

What's your problem with those systems??? If you don't like AH, read this post:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...t=active+saved

I can see no reason to ever turn AH off for street driving.

If you're turning it into a race car, you can rip out most all of the computers and sensors and probably just run with a PCM and the EBCM for ABS. You can then crawl in and out of the window, or, as in most race only C6's, you could run a cable up near the corner of the window (which you've removed) so you still open the door mechanically.

Butt......for a car that will used on the street you can't remove the RCDLR module (Remote Control Door Lock Receiver) or the BCM (Body Control Module) or any number of other computers that are needed for normal operation of the vehicle.

You can turn off AH and TC any time you want to with the button on the console.

You cannot disable or remove the TPMS (which is mostly part of the RCDLR and BCM). You don't say why you'd want to do that, but on a street car the tire pressure is a very good thing to know, and with runflats it's a necessity. Even on the track I find it something I want to know about - especially because I run my OE tires at HPDE's.
