Default Upgrade advice?

I am starting a WB conversion on my 07 F55 Vert. I want to upgrade the following

Brakes. Are a Z06 upgrades enough? Little or no track, just hard weekend back roads. Input appreciated.

Suspension. Do not want to do anything to change the F55 usability. Input appreciated.

Exhaust. I know I want a Corsa touring. After that, I am open to suggestions (X pipe, Headers)as long as it does not increase cabin noise, too much or void the warranty.

Intake, A6 and tune? I do not have a clue.

PM response preferred.

Any and all input appreciated.

As far as brakes, unless you really want Z06 brakes to go with the WB, the stock brakes will work great. Do you have the Z51 D/S rotors on your F55? Whether you do or not, the stock brakes are just about the same thing that C5's have been using on the track for many years with great results. If you're just doing spirited street driving the stock brakes are plenty - even if you were tracking the car all you'd need to do is put on some more aggressive pads, some better fluid, possibly some stainless steel brake lines, and maybe some cooling ducts. Butt....for the street I don't think any of that is necessary.

Suspension - I have the F55 suspension on my '05 coupe and it's great. I put Z51 sway bars on the car and liked that very much (about $160 mod and very easy DIY).

Exhaust - this is a very subjective thing. I have the Corsa Sport on my '05 and love it. If they had the NPP back when I was looking for an exhaust I probably would have got that - I love it on my Z06. On my '05 I also have Kooks with their X-pipe and Cats. I don't think they did much to change the sound of the exhaust, just better flow. I think the Corsas have changed their set up 'cause when I got mine the touring resonators were way forward and you couldn't use them with headers with Cats because the Cats are moved back quite a bit. If you do plan on getting headers, most will come with their own X-pipe. Also, make sure the Corsa Touring will work with headers. Corsas are renowned for no drone, so don't worry about any annoying cabin noise with Corsas.

Intake - I've got a Honker on the '05 and a HallTech Killer Bee on the Z06. I like the Killer Bee a lot better. I think on the LS2 I'd get a Vette-Air with it. HallTech is coming out with a Beehive cold air intake that sounds good.

Engine tune - I've had both the '05 and the Z06 tuned. Even on a stock car I think it really perks up the throttle response and makes the car a lot more frisky (both my cars are manual transmissions). You said you didn't want to run into warranty problems, and there is a bunch of info on the forum lately about how GM can read your PCM history and they will void the warranty if there is any indication of a tune. So.....buyer beware.

The A6 tune - I've got a neighbor with an A6 that he's put a supercharger on and takes to the drags. He had Chuck of CoW (Corvettes of Westchester) tune the transmission and he LOVES it!!! He said Chuck set the shift points and firmed up the shifts so the transmission is MUCH better than stock.

Hope that gives some info to work with. Sounds like you've got a good case of mod fever, so post some pics when you get the WB done. Let us know what you do with the brakes, exhaust, etc.
