Default Voiding GMPP

I have the GMPP plan for like 75k miles, i think. I was wondering if I were to tune my car with just a basic Diablo or canned tune would that void the GMPP? I looked and couldn't find this anywhere, I also couldn't find it on the GMPP site. Anyone have any experience with this. If I did tune it and reflashed it back to stock before I took it to the dealer, would the dealer know that I tuned it or can they tell? Thanks

In Addition, what about CAI kits? What else might cause warranty problems?

I see you guys are new to the forum, so I won't bust your chops too much. But just have to laugh after all of the recent posts about tunes, voiding warranties, and GM implementing a new PCM analysis for warranty work. You got in just in time to miss all that.

Do a search, and you won't believe what you will find on this topic. Welcome.

My guess is they are the same except the cosmetic stuff. I sure GM still OK's the claim.

I'd go by what you read re the regular warranty. And you might like to read your GMPP policy a bit more closely. I don't have one (yet, or possibly ever; we'll see).

But it seems logical to me that if GM will begin to deny claims on an altered car that is within the regular warranty period, GMPP may do the same.

(Mostly) The GMPP folks will likely not honor repairs to an altered area, but would not likely void the entire warranty - if they did, they would have to refund you the "unused" portion of the warranty.

simple: return the pcm to stock tune before taking it to a dealer.
