I started having this problem a couple of days ago. My doors are not releasing and I have no idea what is going on. I have been locked out of my car a couple of times and it is annoying.
It seems as though it is locking itself. Sometimes I have to hold the press pad for 30 seconds or more and even then it is infrequent that the door actually opens. My passenger door will not open at all unless I open it from inside the car. Yes, from inside they open without a problem at all.
Is there a possibility that my FOB is causing it to lock/unlock? There were a couple of times where the window came down as if it was opening, but thedoor would not open.
I did notice that both hinges are not striking properly...could this cause the press pad to not function properly if the doors are out of alignment?
Hi,guys,my problem is just the opposite.I found out last night while Christmas shopping,my doors don't lock.I am thinking it has been like this since I bought it.I tried to reset the locks on the DIC and it won't lock.I guess its time to go to the agency.Any suggestions?

Do you mean "won't lock" or "won't latch?"
If it's the former, what are the symptoms? Remember, if you attempt to open the door with the fob in your pocket, it's going to open whether "locked" or not.
Was having the problem. Dealer put new batteries in fobs. They've been working OK now but sometimes there is hesitation on the membrane for the door button.

I closed the doors (latched) and I left my keys in the house, about 20 yards away from the car.Waited about 10 minutes and walked out to my car.The doors were open.I am guessing the doors never did lock.:flag :
