1st track day
Well I went to the strip for the first time Saturday. Best time was a 12.32....too bad I was dialed in at 12.50 so I lost that one
However the car was doing so weird stuff at the start of the day. It seemed to shut down at about 4/5 of the way dowm the track and would jerk the rest of the way across the line. I've read that these cars (2008 A6 non Z51 coupe with 2.73 gear) mold themsleves to your driving style. The car is only 3 weeks old with about 950 miles on it so I haven't pushed it hard at all. I tried everything....S mode TC on / TC off. Tried it in Drive as well as S mode Competitive driving. The performance got better and by the end of the day it wasn't bogging anymore and it was running straight through the finish line.
Does anyone have any theories on what the car was up to at the start of the day?
