I just purchased a dry setup off of my buddies car. I am not familiar with dry kits. I have had wet kits before but this is the first dry. Ok so here are my questions
1. His was a auto and mine is a 6sp is there anything that I may need different. He said we are just going to buy a credits and use the tune programs he has. Is that ok with the trany difference?
2. What safety features should I have and which ones MUST I have?
3. Where is the best place to tap into the ignition wire?
2. no safety equipment is absolutely necessary for a kit to work. You SHOULD have an arming switch, WOT switch, fuel pressure safety switch, and window switch. Some tracks will require that you have a blowdown tube. You will also need rollbars if your car runs quicker than 11.5000 at a track.
At the very least get a window switch and WOT TPS switch. Use the purple wire at the throttle body for the TPS, and the white wire at the ECM for the tach signal to the window switch.
