Beat me to it. I was just about to send him to my thread asking the exact same thing. Doesn't look too difficult. I have the bolts for the rear just haven't taken the time to put them in yet. I had the squeaking problem as well.... put some grease under the stock bolts and its gone now. I'm still going to install the WCC bolts I bought for the rear, but I'm not as motivated now that the squeaking is gone.
it may be the metal hitting the fiberglass shock (which is a very bad thing). It will be WAY easier to install the WCC plastic cups and putting them over your existing bolts than removing the stockers for the replacement bolts.
i cant find these plastic cups on the WCC website. Can you or anyone tell me where i can get these?
Just spend the money and get the west coast bolts. It is to easy to do it right and be done with it. Just make shure to use some silicone grease and you wont have any issues.
I lowered my 08 C6 by turning the bolts and cutting the rear rubber bushings. The car looks great. The issue is there is squeaking because I cut the rubber bushing from the rear. Is there anything I can do to eliminate this? Or am I stock with it?
Thank you.
Karn
Go to the autoparts store and buy a tin of axle grease. Then, jack up your car again and put a good size helping under those rubber bushings that you cut. No more squeaking. I did this a year ago at the advice of another member and it worked perfect. You may need to do this once a year, but who cares...it works and is super cheap. I bought the mobil 1 synthetic axle grease.

those zip products look like they would fall right off.. especially since the cut stock bolts are not exactly flush even though i tried to cut as much as possible off. Does anyone have experience with these zip bushings?

They do not fall right off. We have sold and installed hundreds of these and have never heard of this. We had these specifically created for our test mule C6 by a very reputable polyurethane suspension component manufacturer. They are an exact fit and have been copied by others, but by cheaper methods and materials.
However it may serve those unaware of the possible consequences... the following discovery is simply intended as a precautionary notice to anybody choosing/considering to perform such height adjustments.

The instruction say to disassemble the suspension, but I am assuming that they can be slipped right on if you take the pressure off the spring?

They have a little lip around the edge that holds them in place. The only issue would be if you didn't cut enough of the bushing off, which would keep it from seating properly.

Yes they could. But that assumes that you can cut the bushing like that.
If your tires started to wear differently than their norm you wouldn't notice. I'm confident if there is a change in my wear I will notice it with more then enough time to correct before having to go for new tires. Time will tell.
I said that about a pothole I hit. It ended up knocking my toe out and kill my RF in a matter of 700 miles. Good luck
