I lowered my 08 C6 by turning the bolts and cutting the rear rubber bushings. The car looks great. The issue is there is squeaking because I cut the rubber bushing from the rear. Is there anything I can do to eliminate this? Or am I stock with it?
I did cut the bushings all the way. I guess I will buy the bolts because this is getting really anoying. I am going to need to re align my car again ha? I just spent $125 for the alignment.
it may be the metal hitting the fiberglass shock (which is a very bad thing). It will be WAY easier to install the WCC plastic cups and putting them over your existing bolts than removing the stockers for the replacement bolts.
just buy the little plastic cups that go over the stock bolts, that will elimate your squeeking and still allow you to be lowered....i think they cost like 20 bucks
Lowered mine about 2k miles ago with no alignment and no noticeable tire wear. Save your money and see if you notice any wear issues, if needed you can realign if you see the slightest of change.

So, you can see a half degree of camber or a a change of toe in/out. At $1k for a set of tires why not get it checked and aligned if needed

If your tires started to wear differently than their norm you wouldn't notice. I'm confident if there is a change in my wear I will notice it with more then enough time to correct before having to go for new tires. Time will tell.
I got the bolts, can someone please give me instructions on how to replace the rear bolts?
Thank you.

I see this same question so often on here.
How about asking the vendor who sold you the bolts how to install them? Not trying to beat up on you but I wonder why so many products come without instructions. Did you get any instructions?
Do a search on the topic. Should be some good info.
You will have to disassemble some of the rear suspension to replace the bolts.
If you keep the ride height the same as it is now or close then I wouldn't worry about having the car aligned again.
There are no instructions. And as far as contacting the vendor goes I never even thought about that. I mean that is the exact point of being a member of a forum so you can share your experience / knowledge with people that is why I ask the guys here.
