Default The Vette Doctors

As many of you probably know I have been a customer of the Vette Doctor’s for 12 years. They have worked on my C4 as well as my C5. In the past I have always been very happy with there work and customer service. As an active racer in the Corvette Challenge it is important for me for my car to run well and to be competitive.

Recently I have had more than a bit of bad luck with my C5. A culmination of this bad luck resulted in me blowing my new LS2 engine on opening day of this season while racing at E-Town. The engine was a total loss. I was very upset to the point where I was going to let the car sit for the season and race my C4. After a few days I contacted Carmen and told him my situation and how I felt. He told me he would take care of me and to just get him the car.

So I had the car towed from central Jersey back out to Long Island. The guys had my car apart in a couple of days. The heads and cam were damaged and the entire short block was junk. Dennis built me a new LS2 short block very quickly. However we were not able to get the heads that we really wanted and settled for something a bit different that had not really been proven. Well they got everything back together for me to run at the CC on April 12’th. Unfortunately the car did not perform as expected. I was very disappointed and so were Carmen and Dennis. Carmen told be to be calm & patient. He guaranteed me that he would get the car running to my expectations. So the car went back to Long Island.

Fast forward to this Saturday. Carmen and Dennis made a special trip to E-Town to deliver my car for the morning session of this past Saturday’s Corvette Challenge. I was able to make 3 passes and the car ran great. Then the rains came and everyone headed home. Well since they were running the Muscle Car shootout yesterday at E-Town I headed back to the drag strip. I made seven passes yesterday and the car ran perfect. I eventually lost in the semis. I am probably not like a lot people in that I am very detailed and number oriented to the point of being a bit crazy. While racing I noticed several things different with my car than before. All for the better I might add. Carmen and Dennis wouldn’t really tell me what these things were until I figured it out on my own. I think Carmen really enjoyed watching the puzzling look on my face and all the questions I was asking. Not to mention how much he and Dennis enjoyed busting my b@lls.

In short Carmen and Dennis did several things to my car to make it perform way beyond my expectations. They went way above and beyond want I expected and there customer service could not have been any better. If anyone wants to know more details just talk to me at the track and I can elaborate more on what Carmen and Dennis did for me. I don’t want to really discuss that on the forum I would prefer to do that in person. I can honestly say that if anyone out there is thinking of having any work done to there Vette the Vette Doctor’s is the place to go. You will not be disappointed.

Again a huge thanks to Carmen and Dennis. I truly appreciate all that you did for me in the last few weeks.
