Exhaust question
reason is I want the horse power but this is a DD and i think that the drone from any after market muffler will get to me after a while.
Just a thought in my head.

It's like buying a widescreen TV and listening to a movie through an AM radio. Upgrading the exhaust is like buying better speakers (and a mondo subwoofer).
As far as drone goes, some people claim they hear drone on some a/m exhuasts and some people claim absolutely no drone on those same exhausts.
My suggestion to you: Go out and find some people in your area, if you can, and take a ride and listen to their exhaust and see if you like it/can deal with it daily.
I have bullets and I noticed drone pretty early on. But, there are easy ways around it (If you have an M6) and after about 3 days of driving the car with bullets, I hardly noticed the sound anymore. Plus, the bullets sound so good driving around town/WOT that the drone is worth it!
If you want absolutely no drone, but still want it to sound good when you get on it. I would look into the Touring version of either Corsa or Borla. Those exhausts will be relatively quiet at idle, with no drone, but will def have some scream to them when you get on them. The NPP's will sound pretty nice. They might not sound as good/loud as a lot of other a/m exhaust, but they will still def improve the sound! Also, any exhaust even the stock one for that matter, sounds pretty good with headers! Headers improve the sound loudness, deepness and quality in my opinion.
Good luck with whatever you decide!

The Vendor recently made a thread about it, but I can't find it.

NPP in the box (self contained system to run NPP on any C6) installed in 10 minutes, the guys at his shop were blown away that a car could sound like this. Craig set it to start up with the flaps closed (a simple flip of the switch and you can change it to start open) but when he opened them and hit the gas while I was setting up the camera, I almost went deaf, thanks Craig.

Here is a video I did with my still camera (so it's not great), will take time to load (I can not emphasize enough that you need to turn up the volume and you need a good speaker system (with bass) or a good set of headphones). I have the bose II on my PC and my cabinets shake in the wild mode.
Notice how the inner flaps open and close

Here is a repost of Craigster05 post in the tech section
NPP Mufflers waiting for Install

Factory Exhaust Removed

Drilling a ¼” hole in the rear well

Run the Vacuum Tube though the hole

Run the Vacuum tubes through existing frame locations

After dropping the rear sway bar, snake the NPP mufflers up and over

Attach the pipes to the mufflers

Connect the vacuum hoses to the NPP mufflers

Make sure your muffler pipes are straight and level

Muffler hardware done and vacuum tubing run

Locate vacuum nipple in well

Place NPP controller in bottom and attach vacuum and power lines

Place lid on top, you can still store items here (Does that look perfect or what???)

Connect power cable to the Seat Heater Fuse

And of course, a quick run with Ed's Polishing kit

That's all there is to it.....All that's left is to go out there and have a blast with your new found customized sound.
They have a terrible resonance at 1500-1700 rpm. They were fine with the stock manifold and H-pipe, but after installing headers and X I do everything I can to stay away from that rpm range.
