Default Stereo speaker issues - help...

The lower left speaker in my 08 Coupe (with the 2LT pkg) sounds like a box of rocks. Car only has 1200 miles on it (4 mos old), and I've never played the stereo very loud. A couple of questions...

- have others experienced this problem (sounds like a defective or blown speaker)?

- If I wanted to replace it myself, is it possible to get to it without damaging the door components? From a quick look, it doesn't look obvious how the speaker cover would be removed...

Any help or advice on this would be appreciated!

Andy

Sounds like a defective speaker that should be replaced under warranty.
Mine sound fine. It's my understanding you must remove the entire door panel to access them. Not hard. Do a search or cruise on over to the audio forum for how-to's...

Mine is a few months old. I complaing about thew rear speakers being distorted. Nothing was done. Yours is more obvious and should be replaced under warranty.

I have the same exact problem, except mine comes and goes, so I think it must be electrical, cant be a blown speaker. If it comes back again, I'm, taking it in under warranty
