Thanks for the confidence craig, I won't let you down.. Now lets find some sticky tires..
Lets borrow spins wheel and tire combo. MUHAHAHAHAHAHA..HAA.. That should do it. Only one thing, rev limiter must be adjusted to 6,900 rpms for optimum shift points

Give me heads up, I might invite a bunch of fellow C6 buds if it is ok with you, if not please let me know.
We only allow about 24 cars for obvious reasons. I know I can get you and Craig in, let me see how many more are going to come on that day.

Dinner is fine anytime with you, name the place and time. I think it is the week after July 4th. I'm thinking the 10th is what I was told, I'll let you know. If you car runs as good as I think it will, I will ask someone you know to do it to my car also. I'd like to see what an Auto with your mods would do (minus the gear, I'm not changing the gear). I'd love to get my car into the 11's with the mild manners for the road you speak of.
Hey Craig, when you dyno, try to get the .drf dyno files from the dyno's computer. You can download the Dynojet software free and use it to print the dyno sheets or post them to the web or importantly compare your runs to previous runs or buddies' runs. GTODoug showed me how to do this, it's easy software to use, I can show you if you like.
I'd like to overlay your dyno run to mine to see where the gains are, as you know I'm thinking of following in your footsteps.
Hey spin, tires and traction are a given when I made the 10'7 10'8 claim. That being said, I would get it in the 10's with any sticky tire combo guaranteed..
Actually what i am not saying is more important. While a car that is in fact capable of a ten second run will run 11's with a bad driver. The real point is that it looks like a brag when you type things like that before doing it. I dont know how you would run at a track since you havent done a 10 sec run. In a way i am jumping the gun and typing it before someone else does. I have learned that there are a lot of people who enjoy tearing a person down in that way on this forum. If your point is to say you're a great driver, its a brag and you should pass.
Talking about SOTP performance means nothing to people. We are in an envirnment where a car that dynos 5HP less has to be the slower car because area under the car is not well understood. If this car comes off the dyno with 467rwhp but did 400rwtq at 3800rpm's people will shrug their shoulders not caring since countless H/C cars that dyno 480 have only 360rwtq at 3800rpm to them have to be faster and they arent. 13HP at peak doesnt overtake a 40rwtq improvement in the midband's power. Still, peak dyno numbers sell H/C packages which I dont car about. The less I have to install for free the better. This car has 4.10's and will dyno 12+ less at the wheels due to the gears. That alone isnt welll understood and if the final dyno is 462rwhp (my guess by the way-and it comes with a slight lope but smooth idle and driveability) at peak it wont look as good to them. They will think,"Big deal 462rwhp." The car would of course then make 475rwhp with 3.42's. OK better but they saw that before too. The low end TQ however makes a serious difference btu then there are self proclaimed experts that insist the low end doesnt mean anything in the 1/4 which isnt true but opinions will persist. Then there is the street scene where countless dyno queens learn the hard way that a car spends 98% of its time under 5500 and roll-ons prove time and time again that area under the curve makes the faster car. I recall a certain local Z06 with 550rwhp ran a medium cam with bumped compression Z06 with 508rwhp. The 550rwhp guy lost over and over from a roll-on and from a dig.
Therein lies the differences in this package. The medium size cam will beat a peak overcammed car in a roll-on while maintaining the perfect street manners sought after by guys that bought a corvette because they didnt want a rough running 1970 Nova with a lopey cam. The cars running in the really high 400's that dyno between 475-490 use cams that are 233 or 234 duration. This package maximizes the low end with compression which you cant do with a big cam because there isnt enough room even with fly-cutting. When DTE Powertrain did a H/C package with these heads and a 224 cam producing over 470rwhp, I didnt se the point of trying to make a high HP over cammed car with a dip in the low end power between 3k and 4k. I thouught the area under the curve they acheived was far better than a peaky cam making 360rwtq in that range. The vast majority of guys would give up the peak few HP for that kind of midband and perfect manners. Phl stated the car idled and drove just like stock and thats when I knew I wasnt going over 230 for a cam with these heads. The power was in the heads themselves and you didnt need to overcam to get it.

With me driving, it may be a 15 second car... And yes, Im looking forward to a meet in NJ with our buds. Come on guys, lets do it in the next few weeks.
Craig, face it.....for a 3rd gear only run-up, we are the kings.

They will tear me down if I don't . But imagine if I do .
I think I would like to see what my own can do with street tires or sticky ones .
From: NJ..."the way I saw it, everyone takes a beating sometimes."
Uh oh Cam. You're talking a big game, with as relentless and unforgiving as this group is, you better back it up. Ahh what am I saying? According to you, you beat just about everything that rolls up on ya.

I know some of you guys on the forum for a while and for most have met in person, for the exception of a few like (LS1LT1, " Kobun AKA Frankie.")
I feel pretty much at ease when I post here, since I know you guys for the most part. Please don't take offense, when I open my big mouth and claim to be the best driver on this side of earth It was presented mostly as a compliment to Craigs fantastic new ride, and not to promote my own agenda. Thanks guys for all the valuable tech info you bring to the forum, you know who you are.
