put paniters tape around the opening where the fuel line goes I would say at least 3 layers to be safe and take your time with it

I've had mine off/on a couple times and if you recently shut the car down (within 4-6 hours) there may be a little pressure. Mine has always sat overnight and there was never any pressure. Of course I did wrap rags around the line first just to be safe.

Roger that! I just remove the gas cap, put a rag under the Shrader valve on the fuel rail and release the pressure. You will need a 3/8" fuel line removal tool to disconnect the fuel line. You can get a whole set of em at Auto Zone or such for a couple of dollars.

I wrapped plastic wrap around the hose and it worked fine. No scratches.

That process works great! Also. do it with the engine warm, the plastic is more pliable.
