Error Codes

Do the computer generated (internal) error codes get deleted when the battery dies?? (completely drained.)

a batt disconnect usualy deletes codes. a drained batt may keep enuf voltage to keep alive some codes. a hard code will return always

Codes remain in history. They can be deleted with the Tech 2.

If an intermittent (not current) condition caused the MIL to illuminate, loss of +12v can reset the MIL.

Did you have a code pop up? You can take it by an Advanced Auto Part store or similar and borrow a OBDII 2 reader and check and clear the code.
