Default ls3 vararam question

After installing my vararam on my LS3 Z51, my check engine light has been on. Anyone else have ths happen? I'm wondering if the ECU just has to get used to the new intake, or if I should run it to the dealer to read the code????

Also I never recieved the different oil cooler bracket with my kit. Is the bracket sold seperately, and if so, where can I get one.

And last but not least, the pcv line would not reach with they own custom hose that Throttle Body Spacer. I managed to make something work with some extra hose that was around the shop, but I was wondering if there is anything else out there.

Let me know, and your input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
C2

Default Vararam ?s

The check engine light should not come on after installation of your Vararam. It does take the ECU a while to tune to the increase air flow but it shouldn't create the problem your having. The bracket for the cooler should be included in the kit as long as you told them it was for a Z-51.

Default Check Engine Light

I just got back from a little spin, and before I went I disconnected the battery, and then reconnected it again, and check engine light is no longer on.

I will contact my vendor to get that bracket on the way, thanks for that note.

My question for ou is that you said it would take a little while for the ECU to get used to the extra air flow. Is that why when I am getting on the gas a little, sometimes the throttle surges. I imagine that's what it is, but is that what you noticed on yours???

Thanks again for your input.

I don't think I had any surging issues. But who knows I might have not been paying attention. By about 150 miles the car should have everything dialed in. Make sure all your connections, pcv and so on, are done properly and that should be the end of any issues other than the obvious increase in POWER. So enjoy it often.

I've had mine on for 750 miles now, with NO problems whatsoever...knock on wood...

sounds like you didn't reconnect something correctly. Who knows.

Default Idiot Light

Idiot light came back on, and it's definitely an idiot light. I guess it works better when you have the Billet Air Meter in the correct way. That explains the lightr and the surging.

Thanks again guys

Thanks again, you wouldn't happen to have any advice on the Melrose Header install I am going to do next week??? I wanna make sure I got everything right before I take it to Tom Wong for a tune next week on Friday.

Thanks again,
C2
