Default Borla Fitting Ques?

Will a Borla Cat back exhaust system with or w/out the X pipe fit to the stock headers or stock H pipe? Is it a simple bolt-off, bolt-on procedure, or are there problems due to different pipe sizes?

I'm looking at the "S-type" or aggressive cat back system (not sure if I should get the X pipe)? Any Advantages or advice would be appreciated.

I believe the Borla cat back for the C6 is 2 1/2", which is what the stock exhaust is also. This will be a direct bolt on straight to your stock H pipe. The straight thru mufflers like Borla, tend to sound better with a x pipe rather then the h pipe. The h pipe supposedly gives you more bottome end and the x pipe, a touch more top end. Those are usually the reasons people change out the mid pipe.

The xpipe really does not do that much for performance... very minimal gain, if any.

The borla axelback will be a direct replacement... very easy to install if you have access to a lift. You use the stock clamps and bolts. Takes only about an hour.
