Ok I took the plunge. Ordered the invisicord. I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to let me know which socket I stab on the back of my rearview mirror to get this thing to work... without frying the electrical system in my car....
Alright got it today and was WAAAAY to anxious to wait. Invisicord to the RESCUE!!! OMG my ashtry is closed. I got the 12" one and boy is it NICE.... even though my radar detector is about 4 inches below on the wiindshield the 12" cord barely cut it which is nice cuz there's no slack in my cord. I LUV INVISCORD!!! Thanks guys!!!

One thing was overlooked. There is nothing to prevent the Inviscord pins from being accidentally pulled out while connecting/disconnecting the radar detector. After mine had fallen/pulled out for the third time, I tie wrapped the Inviscord wire to the OEM wiring harness as a strain relief. This step is also in the factory instructions.
