I understand what you are saying. But most here agree that trying to back calculate crankshaft HP using RWHP and an assumed % loss is a futile effort. I would love to show you some of the IM's I traded with another forum member. He had himself convinced that his LS2 w/ CAI, tune, and bullets has a very high loss (I believe he claimed 15% for his MN6) and therefore, because he dyno'd at 367, he was making LS3 HP. Telling him that the vast majority of bone stock LS3's were making 20 more at the wheels fell on deaf ears

Bottom line is that most MN6 LS3's are dynoing around around 390 RWHP. Even Redline Motorsports told me 375 is not low - now go take a look at his signature

So recently I had mine in the shop for the headers and tune and I ended up with 394 rwhp and 393 lb/ft torque and honestly I felt that was a little low. My tuner said it was about right and mentioned the tune was not aggressive b/c he didn't want lots of wear on the engine. Only mods I have are the Vararam (which shows nothing on a dyno), AR headers, B&B Bullets, and the tune.

I looked on the forums and i see these people with 430 rwhp on the same mods and I feel like most of the seem way too high but then again I am no gear head / dyno tuner guru. I mean how aggressive of a tune do these folks have to get these #'s?

I think it's low, several cars on several dyno's, turned those numbers
or close to them stock. Then came back and turned low 420's on the same dyno. Some dyno's are read low some high that one looks tough,
I 'd say your making more that those numbers say. Need to track test

My first dyno was 378 stock. Didn't feel real stong but headers woke it up. Rolled in with the headers untuned 420 rwhp first pull rolled out tuned with
421 So headers felt incredilbilely good. Then with cat back and other items. best redyno 433 rwhp and 430 rwtq and the car RUNS HARD. Ran 11.98 @120 with over 2 sec 60ft.

Great numbers. Was the first dyno (378 result) on the same dyno as the later pulls?

My baseline numbers were very disappointing. I only put down 357 RWHP with an 08 M6. The car did have under 1000 miles on it at the time of bassline.

After CAI, Headers, 160 T-Stat and Tune the numbers were more to my liking. The car had about 2000 miles on it after mods.

Your two dyno graphs are very intresting. You base appears 20 hp low. The mods should produce 40, yet they yielded 60. Your end results are about where they should be.Actually 420 for a m6. Real nice gain in torque too. Nice numbers, I sure it made a difference.
