When I drive out of my garage, the opener in my sun visor works just fine. But when I try to drive in to the garage it works maybe one in twenty times.Anybody have this problem and if you did how did you correct this prioblem? Oh ,this is the factory door opener that is part of the LS3 package. Thanks,Rod

I assume you have not added a tint to the top of the windshield.
Question: When you back out and the garge door is still open, does it close OK while you are in your driveway? Is the problem only when you are outside and the door is closed?
Make sure the antenna on the door opener reciever is stright and points stright down. If you have a metal door (v. wood) the range from the out side will be less.

I don't have any tint on the windows.I have a common garage which I share with all the tenants thats under the complex.I don't have to back out,I turn around in the garage and the door closes when I exit .No problems there. The garage door is a huge metal double door.I have been within 2 or 3 ft. from the gate and it just opens when it damn well pleases. You are correct, the problem is only when I try to enter the garage.
Do for sure check the antenna wire hanging off the opener, but something else is to hold the button on your visor in for a second or two. If you just poke at it, it often will not send the signal. Mine does this all the time if I do not hold the button in for just a brief instant.

Have you considered moving into another house?
I had this same problem with my '03. Finally, it got so bad, we just moved.

Strange you wrote this thread.I have been looking for a townhouse in Pasadena about a 1/8 of a mile from the Rose Bowl. That would solve my problem.Hey can I hit you up for a loan? Ha Ha!Rod

You may have one or both of the following issues:
1.) It sounds like the metal double door is blocking the signal when the car is outside with the garage door closed.
or
2.) There may be some RFI near your garage door/driveway area
