The upper radiator hose is connected to it. Be ready for a BIG splash. And use the original factory rubber gasket to avoid a leak when you install the 160 thermostat. The new ones leak alot. Make sure the rubber notch on the rubber gasket is in the rectangular groove for it on the stat housing too! NO gasket cement, just snug it up tight. Takes all of 20 minutes total. No need to remove the hose from the stat housing either.

It's the LOWER radiator hose. Use anti-sieze in the bolts, torque to 89 inch-pounds.

Which is it? Upper hose or lower hose. Can't be both.

My thermostat on my '05 was in the aluminum housing on the UPPER radiator hose that you can see when the hood is open.

EDIT; WRONG!!! My Bad. :o

The t'stat IS on the LOWER HOSE. Since it's accessible from the top I "assumed" it was the upper hose. Anything I can reach from the passenger fender seems like the top to me.

My bad. I apologize. I just checked and IT IS THE LOWER radiator hose. You have to look twice because the upper hose goes to the block also. I'm still living in the past. Hey how do those wipers work without vacuum?
