I have no cats. Straight x pipe.

So, I am not worried about that. But, if I did have cats that would have been something to look at.

I have had the headers on the car for maybe 3 weeks total? Little less than a month. I had them tuned last week, I went to the track this past friday. After the track, the noise has gotten louder and more frequent. I believe, I might have knocked something lose.. or just got the header to move just a tiny bit and make it so it rattles off the bell housing consistently now.

Id love to know what it was when you get it sorted out since mine are the 1 7/8's and they have plenty of clearance everywhere.

Run a flathead screwdriver along each tube until it gets stuck to check for all the clearance around the block and chassis. You should find it in no time.

Here is the clearance by the steering linkage with 1 7/8's no less.
Where is the steering linkage in this picture?

The black rod with the orange and white piece of tape around it is the start of it. The steering shaft. Connects into another piece further down.

So, the part that goes farther down is the part I need to check and make sure its not being touched? Because, it does not appear to be touch at all on the horizontal part.

Just go from what you know. You said you remember seeing it "touching" the bellhousing on the driver side with the header installed alone? Start there. Just jack the car up and while all the exhaust is still connected, look for contact and if it is touching, take a pic and we will help decide what to do. I dont think the steering shaft is the problem if you can see there is room as in my pic, though thats exaclty what I meant with using the new thick gaskets, it would be much closer to rubbing the steering linkage with the thicker gaskets. Im really curious now.

If you look below the header, the silver aluminum part of the K member/ engine cradle, you see how close that is to the inside of the headers? Check there and make sure its not touching the cradle either. It looks really tight in there in my pic and I never noticed that.

It made a SLIGHT noise when turning right only... every once in awhile. But, not consistently or anything. After I went to the track and did 2 runs, it has been consistently doing the noise now and has become more frequent and more noticable/louder.

Yeah, I will start here...

The only problem right now is time and as this is my DD I will not be able to get it up in the air probably until Friday at the earliest.

I hope I am not damaging/hurting anything by driving it how it is now.
