06-08 Gearbox & Diff mounting flange
I have purchased a 2007 Z51 manual and torque tube for a project. The gearbox extension housing does not have an O ring seal like the 05 gearbox that I have.
Did GM delete the O ring seal in the 06-08 and if they did what method are they using to seal between the diff and gearbox.

Yes the output shaft thru the extension housing has a sealed so it appears the transmission cannot leak thru the mounting faces. The seal between the trans and diff is to seal the diff oil .
The spigot on the 05 C6's extension housing has an O ring seal and the 07 C6 trans that I have just purchased has no O ring groove in its spigot. With the 07 are they just relying and a gasket seal?
