had the vette out today and while cruising in full auto sport mode it hit the throttle at about 25 mph. the car kicked down in first like i intended but instead of shifting hit the rev limiter. as soon as i back off the throttle the car shifted. i found a long empty road and tried to replicate this about 8 times but it only did it one more time---no issue in paddle shift mode though---any ideas or is it time for a trip to chevy??
I find that mine seems to stay in a gear longer than it should from time to time as well. Drive or Sport. No paddles. But I can't recreate it when I try. It just does it on its own.
Any chance that there was some wheelspin?
Spinning tires don't always make a screaching sound and that could definitely help increase the revs enough under hard throttle to tap the limiter.

I have a 2008 with the A6, and if I'm cruising around 30 mph or so and really punch it, the revs usually reach the red-line very quickly before it shifts... I just assumed this was normal. It isn't?
