Broken Rear Leaf Spring
Took my 08 C6 Z51 MN6 to my dealer today for the TSB regarding the clunky rear end to have the differential fluid changed. I also asked them to check my rear suspension because it started to really creak pretty bad when going over speed bumps, driveways, etc during the past couple of days. They just called to let me know that one of the rear transverse leaf springs was broken. They had to order the replacement spring and it will take a couple of days to get the replacement. I was planning on taking the Vette for a 3 day get-away this weekend up the coast with my wife to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary leaving on Friday morning. The service department said the car should be okay, but I am a bit leary. Should I be concerned? Any advise would be appreciated.
