I recently acquired a 2007 convertible w/ paddleshift automatic. I'm sure that the subject has been discussed, but is there a way to make the shifts more positive and quicker. Years ago, my 74 coupe had an after market shift kit installed in it. It would chirp the rears in all gears. I'm not looking for that, but with 4600 miles it seems sluggish in shifting. All reasonable thoughts welcome and no I can't have a manual because of some health issues.
Yeah a tune can make the shifts much quicker and firmer removing torque mgmt.
The speed of the paddles reaction will not improve though (which is my biggest problem). There will always be the delay between hitting the paddles and getting the shift.
Get yourself a good tune and you'll squeal the tires going into 2nd easily.
I have an 07 A6 and Chuck did his tranny tune and
it is BAAAD, I love it. and time is real short on activation.
Chuck will do you right if you can take it to him.
