Broken suspension problems Needed help
Well you guys thought it was going to be some coilover problem. Well you are wrong.

Interesting. They are both 2008 Z51 cars . . . same as mine. I've never heard of a spring breaking on any of these cars. There are a few possibilities that I can think of:
1. Both drivers hit a large pothole or something else, but I'd expect the wheel to bend or the tire to go flat or something before the spring broke.
2. Bad batch of springs or material from the supplier
3. Supplier change to save money that was not validated properly
4. Some other 2008 minor design change (or faulty component) that introduces a stress riser into the spring somewhere.
It would be interesting to know WHERE exactly the crack was in the spring. That might tell us something.
