want to give big props to Bobby at ZIP PRODUCTS.
I have had great success running bolt/on only, i am stepping it up and going to try for a new record.
i have already started getting ready for the fall air, i put the electric water pump on right after the last track rental and the power is great, i have been waiting patiently for the zip relay and safety fuse for a while its been on back order, without it my battery keeps going dead because i keep forgetting to turn it off, well i called a few times and couldn't get it a couple back order dates passed, so yesterday i called again twice, the second time i talked to Bobby explained the situation, that i need it, i have to be ready for the new record, and i got to get this off my check list,
he called me today, order shipped. so i just wanted to thank Bobby for getting this done

Since my wife now has 3 Corvettes, I normally have several orders in to Zip on any given day. I like 'em, too, have bought from them for years.

ZIP Products will never touch my car again. They supposedly repaired my rear which had a cracked case and demolished internals. Less than 2weeks later, with no agressive driving, the rear started making lots of noise. My assumption was that the 6 speed transmission had problems. I took the car to Mayhem Motorsports in Raleigh, N.C. to have an RPM automatic installed. Inspection of the differential revealed that it had not been set-up correctly. When I was at ZTP talking to Jusin Abbott about the correct way to repair the rear, he continually badmouthed other vendors including DTE. I've never heard any negative comments about other vendors from Mayhem Motorsports personnel. I've spent in excess of $25K on my car for performance and cosmetic changes. Mayhem is currently building a 402" stroker and I'm thinking about adding an RPM automatic. The guys @ Mayhem are truly southern gentlemen and will be the only tuners for me plus others in the Lynchburg area. I'm retiring in 6 weeks, and one of my goals will be to spread the good word about Mayhem Motorsports.

Zip has done great for me with stuff I've ordered, but I can't speak to how they do installations, I dont' have experience with them in that dept. I can say their mail order/catalog service is great.

There is always more to the story. First I never talked bad about DTE, I said from day one he has a good product, I just don't understand the pricing but so be that. Second I drove your car, I personally saw the setup on the diff and everything was good. Two weeks later you say it was blown up. When you called I did not crawl under a rock, I asked what the symptoms where and you told me it was quiet in 1 and 2 gear and loud in 3 and 4th. I told you that I should have checked the trans further than what I did since the last diff was toast. I also said if it was the diff that it was under warranty. I have never had a diff blow up under normal use or even for that matter hard use that was not caused by something else, however that does not mean that something like a bearing cannot go bad. Then I did not hear form you for 3 weeks, so I called you and emailed you. That is when I got the first nasty email about how my diff was blown up and you were installing a DTE diff. I said that is fine, but your diff is under warranty so send it back and I will REFUND your money on it. So what do I get back, a ring and pinion. How do I know it is even out of my diff, but again standing behind my product I email you back and said send me all the parts and I will still refund you. Then you email and say never to contact you. Then in another post you say you have an RPM diff internal, not DTE, something does not sound right with any of what I have been told about this. Most people would have sent back a blown up anything to get their money back. That is equal to you blowing the engine in a new Corvette, and then taking it to your buddies shop and having them pull the engine and dissassemble it, then taking the broken parts to your chevrolet dealer and wanting them to warranty an engine. I hope I am not the only one this sounds crazy to. However I still stand behind my products, so if in fact it is blown up, put all the parts in a box and send it to me, I know what is mine and if it is I will GIVE YOU YOUR MONEY BACK. I do not know any way else to tell you this. I don't know of many vendors who would do this, but I can tell you there are plenty of Corvettes out there with more horsepower then yours running those diffs. And as far as DTE is concerned you need to the facts right about what was said, because I did not bad mouth them. Phil you are welcome to call me about this if you would like.

Dennis,
Thank you, I am glad we could help. When Bobby told you it was on B/O it was, he just did not know that I had one behind my desk and that is the one you got, they are still on B/O until next week.
Thanks
Justin

Always great service, attention to detail, keeps customers informed of status on special order parts, for example, a correctly dated '67 water pump for my wife's C2, soon to arrive.

thanks Justin, i really appreciate it. i hooked it up originally with a toggle under the hood, until i got the zip relay for it. i was going to just wire it with a relay to the fuel pump wire under the fuse box, but your unit is so easy plus has the safety feature, I'm glad i waited. it was that easy

Some will be happy and some will not be happy. That is the nature of the beast called customer service.
