I thought I read the same thing, that Borla makes it for GM.
I've got off-road version and it's definately the twin to Borla Stingers.. I've had Stingers before..
They sound great and the new version of GM offroad has welded tips which will look better but a little harder to install... you won't find a better exhaust for the money..
Gm makes 2 performance exhausts, 1 is the Borla Touring and the 2nd is Borla Stingers. I know, I have the GM Off Road (Borla Stingers), exactly the same except for the tips.
I have the GM performance off road exhaust and love it. I got it from another forum member for $500 used. The tips alone cost over $300. The former owner painted everything but the tips in heat resistant flat black paint, so all you see are the shiny tips.
