Default Airbag readiness warning?

My airbag readiness warning light started coming on while I'm driving. It will come on for about a minute then go back out for a few minutes.

Anybody have any experience with this?

It's a common problem with the C6. Most of the time the dealer throws parts at it hoping to cure the problem. Mine has done it off and on for three years. Once it goes off it will stay off. I'm waiting for it to stay on so the dealer will know when he fixes it. I have the GMPP and have 5 additional years.

Some members have had luck by checking the connections under the seats.

I filed a complaint with the NHTSA. They are the ones that mandate safety recalls.

The way it is now I have a good shot at the dealer seeing it whenever I take it in. It seems to be on about 50% of the time. Just trying to get an idea what the solution will be before the dealer does their thing.

Default airbag light

It's likely your passenger seat cushion sensor. I just had mine replaced this week after a month + of other replacements (sealt belt harness, side airbag module, etc). Its been 400 mi since it was done and no dash light, but I'm still holding my breath. I'm afraid that there are too many (and too delicate) sensors in these C-6's. Please keep us posted and I'll do the same. By the way, for some reason or another it took my local dealer four weeks to get the part from GM.

Mine goes on everytime I go over 140mph, it's like clockwork, hit 140+ it's going on.. I just have to figure out how to tell my dealer about it without them thinking I'm a mad man that needs his warranty voided.

same now mine did it at 120mph, only after installing my mods: my idea is that the new power is scaring the car
