Ok, I tried to avoid going into the motor, but a ProCharger is just not doable for me right now......So I'm going cam. Help me make a wise decision.
Heres what I'm looking for:
460+ at the wheels
Good Driveability
Something on a 114 LSA (I'd like a decent idle)
No loss of low end torque
NOTE: I'm having the stock heads ported at the same time, so keep that in mind
Here's what I'm working with:
2007 C6 LS2 6-speed 3.42 Rear
Vararam RAI
Ported FAST 92mm Intake
Ported LS2 TB
LG Pro Long Tubes w/ cats
Borla Stinger CB
Harland Sharp 1.8 Rockers
402 RWHP 408 RWTQ
I was thinking something along the lines of the Vengeance Racing VRX5 (236/238 .601/.605 114 LSA). I've talked to a few guys that have it on a 114 LSA...They love it. I just don't know if it would be a wise choice to meet my needs.
Ed, from B&P is working on coming up with a custom grind, but I'd just like to get your opinions as well.
Thanks in advance
Mike

FWIW, I don't know if you even have to go that big on the cam. Vengeance will take great care of your car and goals. My cam is their stage 1 cam and it's making over 460 to the tire. With all the other stuff you may ask them about my cam or the one just above it.
Mine drives almost like stock (a/c on it bumps the car a bit) and hauls the mail in a big way.

Thanks Dennis....Yeah, Ed is the man. I have total confidence in him. I just like to get as many opinions as possible to run by him.
Yeah, you should see it now. He rebuilt it stronger and faster. I got to drive it yesterday It is unreal! Hopefully we'll get some video of it destroying my car on the highway after the cam/head work is done....Just to put its power in perspective.

I think i seen the most up to date video`s when he was messing around on that privite highway....
I will say this, i have never seen a car take off from 80mph like that That car must upset alot of crotch rockets

I was the camera car in those vids, and they're hosted on my Photobucket......That was before his rebuild .....add about another 50 rwhp on top of that now
...and yes, he does upset alot of bikes. Maybe one of these days I'll get the Busa out and give him a try
Mine is finally going in and I'll post results hopefully in a few days. It came down to a few, the VRX-5, LGX3 and the Stinger. Finally settled on a custom cam...230/236 .612/.608 113lsa on XFI lobes. At least I think those are the specs. I've got the VR, stock FAST, Kooks 1 3/4" long-tubes, x-pipe with cats, cat-back and tune. I've got 1.85 rockers right now but they are going bye-bye. So I'm making 410rwhp/407rwtq SAE on a dynojet. Hoping for 450rwhp as well.
