Default 08 dead gas pedal

My 08 M6 gas pedal is dead for about the first 1/4" of movement.I think the 08's are first to use fly-by-wire for the accellerator.
Does anyone else notice this? Is there an adjustment that can be done?
Thanks,Ray

I have not noticed any lag in the accelerator in my C5 Z06 which also has drive by wire. Been a long time since Corvettes have had a throttle cable.

My 08 has no dead spot in the pedal, you might want to take it to your dealer and have them take a look at it, use your warranty you paid for it.

Get it checked out. There are three sensors in the pedal module which are part of the Pedal assembly. The entire unit goes for around $180.00. Mine had failed not too long ago and left me in the "Limp Home Mode." I didn't know about this "LHM" feature at the time and sprang for a tow.

Just returned from the dealer.Guess what,he talked to GM and they said that all the parameters they checked were normal.Either I got a unusal case or other drivers don't notice the difference.

The first thing i noticed when i bought my vette 3 years ago was the fly by wire was not as accurate as my old ls1 firehawk.
However what you are referring to is different and sounds like what my vette is doing now most of the time, but sometimes not. Im trying to figure out the scenario but its random so far.
It might be my tune?
Do you have a tune?

I agree The Vitesse throttle controller made all difference in the world.
I love that it has like 17 different choices bound to find a few choices you will fall in love with. No more lag in the throttle. Love mine Easy install only 5 to 10 minutes max.

Hmm. no i think thats different than what i have.
Sometimes i notice no throttle in the first tip in (maybe 15% throttle), sort of dead space. But somtimes the throttle is right there at the begining of pedal travel right away just like my other cars..

Dont get me wrong about the performance; i have a tune that has programmed an increased "pedal-to-throttlebody" quick ratio plus a ported throttle body plus 3.42 rear end plus z51 short ratio transmission plus small dia. long tube headers...It has very sharp throttle response and can spin the tires in second gear without flooring it BUT sometimes there is a LAG in the first 15% tip-in of gas pedal.
