Granatellis has not worked well in the past on previous generation cars. Their reputation is poor. Do not do it. Waste of money and the car may run like crap when you are done.

GMHT tested the Summit version one and found 5-6rwhp on an LS2 GTO and no adverse side effects to the PCM, FYI. It may not be worth the hassle if your car is already tuned, even though they are supposed to be calibrated to a CIA

They maybe (highly unlikely) calibrated to a CIA but I really doubt that they are anywhere near the correct cal for the PCM. From all of the aftermarket MAFs I have seen installed in GM cars and trucks that have come to me for dyno tuning, NOT ONE was even close, and if memory recals, Granatelli, and JET were the worst offenders. They may not set a DTC meaning that there isn't an adverse effect on the PCM, but I can GURANTEE you that the fuel trims will be skewed by a considerable amount.
Seems like I read somewhere that they fool the PCM into thinking the IAT's or engine temps were cooler. PCM would add more fuel for a slight bump in HP under some conditions. $ better spent on a good tune.

Yes, exactly. They (Summit) have one that is calibrated to a CAI (again GMHT, Im not selling maf's). There is a decent restriction in the maf (as seen in change in the LS3 maf) so by removing it and a retune, Im sure 5-10rwhp can be found.
Maybe Summit has done a better job on the ft's than the others
I bought a Granatelli MAF for my C4 and it kept setting MAF codes. I called them several times and even carried a small screwdriver with me for a couple of days to adjust it. I ended up returning it. My opinion is they are not worth the card board they come wrapped in.
