Compute your valve events - spreadsheet

While I am looking into various camshafts for my LS2, I found it would be easier to compare them on a spreadsheet that displayed all the valve timing events (at 0.050" lift). The following screen shot of a portion of my spreadsheet has the formulae for the computed cells added in so you can reproduce it in EXCEL (or Visi-calc, for the oldtimers). The input data is in the four left hand columns, with black headings. This is the data that COMP Cams has on their on-line cam cards. The computed values are in the right hand columns with the color headings.
Once you get this constructed you can play "what if" games with the inputs. If you are not spread-sheet savvy, find a youngster to help you out.
I have also included a few "mild" cams so you can check out your own version.

If you want some extra pointers, just drop me a PM.

This is pretty cool. What would be totally sweet would be to use Google's web-based spreadsheet so that we could all see it and actually enter stuff in it.

Lets not screw with the formulae in the columns with the colored headings, just input data in the first four columns with the black headings.
I will NOT be responsible for anyone making engine-breaking cam choices based on this public spreadsheet, over which I have no control once I reveal the URL, which is:

Have Fun ! ! !
