Default Need New Throwout at 8K

Always had the 'somewhat' common slight vibration with light pressure on clutch pedal but it has now grown to a grinding sound when cold. Goes completely away after temp gets up to normal. There is never a problem when clutch is fully engaged but I'm inclined to believe situation will only get worse. I'm under factory warranty but hate thought of car having to be disassembled (did it myself on my C5). Anyone else have to have this done at low mileage? ['06 mn6 z51]

sounds like your flywheel is warped (vibration syptom) the grinding could be a throw out but sounds deaper then that (internal trans issue) either way time to use that warranty and i'll bet they replce entire trans. good luck

Can I ask how hard do you drive? I drive normal mostly and do get in it at times. I dont want this same problem. I'd take it to the dealer and let them sort it out.

I'd take to the dealer before your warranty expires. It could cost big $ if you wait.

I doubt they'll replace the transmission since it is several FEET away from the clutch / throwout bearing.

Normal driving for the most part. Never even done a speed shift.
