It's no big deal. We have had it in the NE for over 5 years. Getting 10% less mileage is bunk, a little less yes, but not 10%. Also the ethanol is mixed with the gas just before delivery to the stations so contamination is not a problem. We have to use it in all cars including my '62, '00, and '09 Corvettes with zero problems.
Been using it for the last 10-15 years, in all the cars including the Corvettes... ZERO issues.
Also agree about the *very* minor decrease in MPG... I use ethanol blends all the time, and still consistently pull 26mpg+ at average speeds of 80-85 mph. I think the data says 3.5% decrease in MPG is to be expected... in a Corvette, thats a gigantic decrease of 1MPG hwy, and even less difference in town. Horrors.
Bottom line -- don't worry about it. The Vette will handle it with zero issues, and you wont feel any difference.
Cheers,
Kent

thanks for this post. i told my gf to go fill up my tank and she said the pump said 10% ethanol. i took a **** not knowing what the results would be, not to mention sent her to hell. i feel much better knowing that its no big issue. although i am interested in what was posted earlier about the issue with the fuel solenoid getting stuck.(using nitrous) How can this fuel affect my nitrous usage?
