level meaning same tread depth across the face of the tire? that sounds a little too fast. any aligmnent issues re your last set of front tires--did they wear evenly?
are you checking with an external gauge? (not that the dic is off usually, but who knows, it could be?)

I used a good tire pressure guage.. I bought the car and put on the new tires the day i got it. so i don't know. the orig set had 10,900 on them. looked about 3/4 gone. I am going to have the front end aligned.. just for the hell of it.
