Default Removing the Cat Question?

I need to remove the cat from the stock manifold and X-pipe. My simple question is, can I just unbolt it from the manifold and X-pipe or do I have to remove the entire X-pipe and exaust. I can't tell if it will drop out or if it needs to slide out. Please advise. Thanks. Looks like if it drops out I only have 4 bolts to undo.

It drops out.

Spray it with whatever product you choose, and hit it with an air gun to save lots of cursing and busted knuckles.

4 bolts and you're done.

Good luck.

yep...it just falls out after you take the O2 sensor out. it shouldn't take you long to take them out once you have car up in the air.

THanks. I do have air tools so hopefully that does reduce the cursing and knuckle busting. The folks at work always now when I have been working on my car because my hands are cut and raw.
