Default Race Ramps

I am going to purchase a set of race ramps for my 2008 C6. Will the 56" ramps work with the stock height? I don't want the car to scrape at all. Please share your experiences. Thanks!

Alot of the members have the 56" model and just put a a couple of 2x6's just in front for just a little lift getting on. I just bought the XT-2's for my Z51 and am happy with them.

I have the 67" and a non-lowered C6. The rubber cowling on the front still brushes the ramps; however, there's no harm-no-foul. The two piece 67" ramps are great.

As you can see from the pic in my sig below, my '08 Z51 is lowered on stock adjusters about 3/4" in the front. When it was corner-balanced (for track events), the rear couldn't be lowered as much as the front (even with the rear adjusters maxed out). This increased the car's rake, lowered the front spoiler to the point that I scrape a lot on the street.

Even so, my spoiler barely scrapes when driving up the 2-piece 56" RaceRamps, just like GotVett? described above. I have never bothered to use supplemental boards, either.

I've even BACKED up the ramps (rear tires on the ramps) to work on the back end, which puts the front spoiler even closer to the ground while backing. But again - there's no more harm then I get entering my steep driveway or negotiating most speedbumps.

Remember that the 3-part rubber spoiler is designed to take a lot of abuse. It's inexpensive and easy to replace when the time comes.

I've never used ramps before, but these RaceRamps are really a great, safe tool. The 2-piece design makes for easy access to what you need under the car from the sides, too. I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again.

Gotvett,
I heard some have trouble using the crib in the back. I see you using jack stand and not the crib.

I made 3' long ramps by stacking 2x10 wood three high. I back up onto them and can jack easily after that. Cheap and easy.

How close to the ground is the bottom of your spoiler. My car is also lowered and the spoiler is 1 3/4" off the ground; so I'm wondering if I need to go to the longer ramp vs the 56" ramp.

I am considering getting some ramps, but I don't know which ones to get. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Race ramps look real nice, but I couldn't justify spending over $200 for a set of ramps.
They don't look that much different from those Rhino ramps that Walmart sells for like $40, otherthan the fact it's longer and 2-piece.
No bashing or complaining...
Just saying it's a lil' too expensive for a cheap guy like me.

I've got some Rhino Ramps and they work OK on most cars but you practically crush the front spoiler to get a Vette on them.

two piece is the way to go... nothing like being able to slide that section off and have that much more room to work!! and you can actually transport them in a Vette with some creative packing !!
