I believe the warmer engine would be more efficient. 200* is perfectly fine IMO. I wouldn't even be bothered by 220*.

I've read of experimental engines that are made of ceramic and have NO cooling system and run very hot but are highly efficient.

I appreciate your response. In fact you did so well I have one more if you don't mind me asking........ so I left my C6 LS3 stock tuned however with the 160 degree themostat I changed the set points of my variable fan by 26 degrees since I was going from the factory 186 to a 160. Are there any other set up points I should look in to i.e. spark advance, spark retard, fuel injector pulse width, oxygen sensor etc. Or is it as simple as cooling fan new set points.

Is there any advantage or disadvantage of using DexCool coolant at a 100% ratio vs 50/50 mixture.
