Funny clicking sounds coming from the engine. According to my Chevy dealer and upon visual confirmation, the bolts on the Kooks Headers had come loose and there were exhaust gases leaking from the gasket making a black mark on the block
Have you experienced this before? Should I use a different gasket?
what gasket are you useing? the one that came with the headers is crap. I would say get a stock gasket and use some locktight on the bolts that way they wont back off again.

Locktight is used when the stock manifolds are mounted at the factory.
Use the stock gaskets when installing headers. Header bolts need to be re-torqued after a few heat cycles.
