Default Looking for 02 sims

I've searched the forums and have found some sites but can't seem to actually find the sims for my 05. I must be an idiot or something because I've been searching the web and can't find a single site that sells these.....
Can someone please add the link of the site that you purchased yours. Also here's my scenario:
SLP headers, down pipe, B&B x-pipe and bullets. Of course none of that is installed. I'm afraid to install then try to drive to exhaust place to weld up reducer cones. Once I do this install will i need a tune? Keep in mind I'm going catless. If I do need tune, can this be done with a handheld tuner? ie: can I buy one and do this myself, keeping in mind that I'm just a wrench turner, not a motor head. Basically I just get in and push button and grin. Help me please!!!

Yes, get yourself tuned and they'll remove the codes. Its like two birds with one stone.

Absolutely. You may have a check engine light on, but it will still be drivable with a noticable improvement.

Once you get it tuned you'll feel a major improvement in power and drivability.

Can this tuning be done with me buying a handheld? I only ask because there's no place nearby that tunes.
thanks
John

Yes, however your best results will be from a real tuner (most of the time).

With the handheld if you want to gain the most performance you'll also want to grab a wideband so you can get the AFR correct. My LM-1 portable wideband was $300 I believe. And handheld is $200-400 from what I remember, where HP Tuners Pro would be $650.

You can probably find yourself a full tune within a decent distance for $400... although texas is pretty huge. Do yourself the favor and get the full tune, it will totally be worth it. This is coming from a guy that used the predator to tune my cars before my eyes were opened to how little they actually did...

Gotcha,
You just re-iterated what a buddy of mine said. So I'm going to houston when I'm finished to tune it. I just wished I would have tuned it before so I could see what I gained.

You're not an idiot. O2 simulators don't exist anymore. In 2007, the leading manufacturer of O2 simulators, Casper's Electronics, was fined $80,000 by the EPA and forced to recall all of it's O2 simulators. Any other manufactures of simulators would be crazy to keep their product on the shelf also and subject to possible investigation by the EPA.

Well Katech,
My wife would still argue your opening statement . Here's another question for you Non-idiots. Will a rear 02 sensor work like a front one. I ruined mine last night...duh.. while trying to remove it from exhaust manifold so I'm wondering if I can use one of my rear ones even though they have different model numbers. They look identical.
thanks
John

with the headers and the other mods did you buy O2 extensions? I thought the cable length on the front and rear sensors were different so the rear one may not reach?

the lengths are not that much different, but the end connectors are. The pre-cat sensor has a female connector on the end and the post-cat has a male. I suppose this is to keep people like me, who removed them both not to get them confused. So I would need to cut the connector from the rear sensor which I'm not using anyway and and replace it with the connector off the damaged front sensor. I'm just wondering if the rear sensor will work. They have different part numbers but it may only be because of the connectors.

They probably won't work. You might get somebody to argue that statement but there could be some subtle differences that cause DTCs.
