Default BIG Improvement!!

Like most will testify FSD's and the Z51 sways offers a huge improvement over the BASE suspension. This is how the Vette should come from the Factory. The stock shocks are inferior for what this car is capable of with this small upgrade. I like it much better than the Z51 set up, although the Z set up is a great deal for the $$.

As a side note ( I searched for this too and was unable to find the answer) with the FSD's I was able to lower the car even a bit more and have not experienced the shock hitting bottom.

My front lip is sitting 2 1/2 inches now above ground. Stock it was 3 1/2 and when lowered on stock bolts with stock shocks it was 3.

In other words the FSD's handle the lower car height better than the stock units.

Ride is still very civilized and as others have said feels planted. I imagine the sways contribute here though.

I take it that you still have the base springs?

No bottoming out. Yes, the air dam will scrape. Hell it scraped at stock height 3 1/2 in. Just be careful. If you like to really push her on a tight twisty road with dips, well expect a lot of scraping. I haven't scraped yet at freeway speeds on some bad dips. where I previously bottomed out with the stock shocks when lowered 1/2 in.

The lowering thing isn't really what I want to emphasize here, it is the ride and handling improvement!!!!!!!
