There have been several threads posted on people experiencing difficulty in the 4th to 5th shift at high speed and high RPM. Most of the consensus has been driver excitability. However I seem to remember one reply that involved transmission work that solved the problem. It seems like someone posted about a shaft or shaft bearing that fixed the problem for them. I spent several hours searching the forum and could not find the correct thread that contained this reply. Can anyone help me? My transmission is presently being worked on and I want to make sure this is checked. Thanks in advance for the help.

I had the same issue, with 410 gears, I am hitting 5th much more often.....once I even hit reverse and fried the reverse gear...
I was thinking of going with an mgw, but wasnt convinced it would cure the problem....now I just make longer shifts into 5th...
