I guess you guys are just missing my point. The LS9 is a factory stock engine, blown or not. Its a better starting point than an N/A LS2/3. It may be 6.2 Liters, but is ISNT an LS3. Its a well-worked derivative, yes, but a much stronger one. One that is already comparable to a nearly-tapped-out LS2 or LS3, with stock internals.

Just because the car comes with a blower doesnt mean thats the only blower it will handle. Look at what the factory-blown modular Ford blocks are doing with only 281 cubic inches and a Kenne Bell / Whipple swap. 600-700rwhp on the stock block is a common sight, with simply some bolt ons and fuel system upgrades. Thats double the stock output. The LS9 rotating assembly will likely be able to withstand a LOT more flogging and boost than it's being debuted with, simply going off of the specs GM has provided about how stout the motor is.

There are always stubborn people out there that just dont like to admit that something better has come down the pipe. Not saying that applies necessarily to those I've quoted, but it is true that when the next "big thing" is introduced, there are always naysayers that will undoubtedly reiterate the validity, and possibly, superiority of their own setups.

Pretty sure strapping a turbo on a supercharged LS9 will not work to well.

No matter what you put it on (LS1/LS2/LS3/LS7/LS9 or 4.6 mod) an Eaton is far too inefficient (garbage) when compared to a turbo. So with the cost of a crate LS9 ($$$) there are many better options. Thats all.

You can do that on a Terminator. Its only 1188rwhp though.

Hellion Hellraiser TT kit bolts right to the crappy Eaton blower. Cylinder temps are probably close to that of the sun after a few WOT blasts.

Lets get it to work on the LS9.

Because compounding the two huffers in line with one another was exactly what I was insinuating. Yes.

One of the motors I've personally wanted to build for some time now is a forged 416-418 LS3 wearing a big twin screw like the KB 2.8H.

Ive built a few 600/600 plus cobras in the past, and can only imagine the potential of this setup on a big cube motor in a lightweight car.
Nasty!
