have a 08 and just got a price of 7200 to install a procharger,is this the way to go for more power, thanks for any advise.
Not sure you will get many replies to that in this section since this is the 09+ ZR1 section. Depending on which model Vette you have i would move it to that thread. Regarding the subject, Procharger is a great brand and it will most definitely add a good amount of power to either a Z06 or LS3 Vette. Check the FI section for more help and answers.

Great price! MAKES PLENTY OF POWER. I would also do all the standard stuff that will allow your engine to breath. (160 thermostat, Lt headers, flow thru cats, big sticky tires and a good tune).
It's one way. You could go NA with heads, cam etc. But make sure whoever does it knows what they are doing. Don't be surprised if you start having problems after you mod the car like this.

The Vette Doctors charge about $900 less for the A&A Vortech kit installed, which is, IMO, a better kit... I'd go that route if I were you; they are within driving distance...
Sounds like a good price. I hope it includes an intercooler and new injectors. You may also need a degree colder spark plugs, but don't quote me on that.

ECS has a great package in Jersey . I put a P-1 on my 06A6 Aug 2007 fm EPP (Indiana) In retrospect I have seen high 400/low 500 rwhp with heads cam and headers cat back etc...Because of the changing oil in the head unit, I sorta wish thats the way I went. However, very happy with my 471rwhp 445 rwtq. Did not want to over power the stock drive train. Limited budget also. Good Luck which ever way you go.
This was originally posted in the ZR1 section, it has since been moved after my post. Why else would i point out 09 (rather than 08 ZR1; doesnt exist). Then nicely suggest moving it to a place where the OP could get the most feedback. Go look for yourself in the ZR1 section, and it doesnt require any smart@ss comments to do it

Erie,Pa to Amityville,New York is theoretically driving distance but so is LA to Miami.
I installed the procharger kit myself, and could not be happier. I like the procharger over the vortec, cause the procharger has it's own oiling system. On the vortec you have to tap into you engines oiling system, and drill your oil pan for a return line. The procharger kit came with new injectors, intercooler and they reprogramed my computer as part of the deal. I took the car to the dyno after the install and found the A/F mixture to be right on the money. With a little more tweeaking on the dyno we were able to get 560 rwhp. out of this combo. If you take your time you can install it yourself with a little effort. Pinning the crank is the hardest part of the installation.

You have helped me to decide on a procharger...appears to be same package from procharger. thanx.
Been mulling it over for weeks.
12.0's last year, hopefully into the ten's this year.
Many Forum members feel that A&A has a better kit. Call Andy @ A&A. Hard to go wrong with A&A products.
After alot of research I went with Vortech. I upgraded to the T trim for an additional $150. Complete kit installed with ram air intercooler, plugs, 60 lb injectors, boost a pump, tuning and before and after dyno for $6800. A couple days later I picked up a Z06 killer.

The Vortech and Paxton both have self-contained units!
I have the self contained self installed V-3 T-trim that came with my A&A kit!

100% - This is very good/sound advice - why not a blower cam while your at it
