Default Transparent Roof Panel Question
Does anything special have to be done to add a transparent glass roof panel to a 09 C6 Vette. I was told there is some hardware that has to be added? Is this true?

no, a new top comes with all the hardware. Just take the solid one off and put the transparrent one on.

You might be thinking about the latch handles that were fitted to earlier C6's and needed to be adjusted, lubricated or replaced. Your '09 should be fine. Find a good price on the clear top and enjoy yourself.

The lightest roofs (by 2-3#) are the 05-06 polycarbonate ones that tend to delaminate.
