This may happen with other phones but my son and I both were talking on our Iphones when the TPM needs service light came on. WTX...The light went out after a few min and I did't think much about it until we were both on the phone again and same problem. It finally hit me that it was the phones. With everything wireless I wish we could use the key to start and run when things get screwed up. And my radio puts out a funny noise when my phone is close to to as well. Maybe once toyota buys the corvette brand things will get better.

To quote Tom and Ray, the Tappet Brothers:
"Hang up and DRIVE!"

I have experienced a similar thing with a rental Mitsubishi SUV and a rental GMC before. This was years ago, with Singular Push to Talk wireless I believe.
In the Mitsubishi SUV, if you were on the phone the car would not start. Or would ligh up the dash like a Christmas tree is already started.
The GMC would just flash some lights on the dash everytime you moved the phone near the steering column if I recall - it was pretty funny, as we would call the designated driver and then watch him fuss with the key trying to start the Mitsu hehe.
My 1st Gen (Edge) iPhone would cause radio interference when it was sending or receving data...sounded like morse code, dot dot dot...dot dot dot...dot dot dot buzzzzzzzzzzzzz...buzzzzzz.
The new 3g phone doesn't do that but my left front tire TPM sometimes says I have a flat or low pressure when I don't. I don't know if it's iphone related or just a bad battery in the TPM.
Truth is as many systems as these cars have it's amazing it's as reliable as it is!
