rear window distortion?

rear window distortion?

Hi All and happy thanksgiving,
I have a "08" coupe and I notice a lot of distortion in the rear window when you look through the rearveiw mirror. I sometimes have trouble picking out those pretty blue and red lights coming up on me. Before I go running off to my dealer and making a bigger fool of myself then I'm already. Is this normal?

more or less...
Some have distortion free glass, other have some distortion, some have had the rear window replaced because they had too much distortion....

Because of the slope and curvature of the glass it isn't going to be a picture window view out the rear. I'd recommend you climb into another C6 and see if the view is any better. I suspect what you are seeing is normal though.

FWIW as a CDL driver I tend to use my side mirrors more than the rear anyway. A lot of things I used to drive had no inside mirrors!
